A day in the life of Stephen McMahon

Meet Stephen McMahon, Senior Project Service Manager, who oversees all Access Procure Wizard projects. let’s find out more about his day.

Wake up time?

7am – I wake up, fall out of bed, drag a comb across my head.

What do you have for breakfast?

Coffee followed by more coffee and if I have time, a quick detour through McD’s drive-thru for a Sausage and Egg Muffin while on my way to the office!

First thing you do when you get into work?

Make everyone a tea or coffee, except the support team, they always complain about my tea making skills so they are now ostracised from my social circle and riveting morning chat. Don’t think they are that bothered about that or missing much to be honest.

What project(s) are you working on?

As part of my job I oversee all projects, I do get my hands dirty every now and again but have the luxury of being able to pick and choose.

Silence, radio or Spotify in the background when you’re working?

It has to be silence, I am easily distracted and if Absolute 90’s is on, absolutely no work would be completed.

Favourite work colleague?

It has to be Lee Tennant and not because I have asked him to replace the picture he uses when uploading this rather than the default website one which is horrendous, honest!

What’s the best bit about your job?

Feeling I can make a difference and that my opinion is not only listened to but valued and encouraged also.

Packed lunch or take out for lunch?

Take out every time! The Burger King App is the most used app on my phone!

Favourite thing about working for PW

Access Procure Wizard is a company that truly embraces value in its employees. Every one of the team are focused on doing what it takes to deliver for our customers and makes working with them a dream, delivering time after time again and again. Like most within the company, I truly love working for Access Procure Wizard and feel very lucky and privileged to be given the opportunity to be part of this amazing company.

How would your work mates describe working with you?

In the words of employee number 1 Scott Brown “Awesome”

Favourite Christmas song?

O holy night, I try my best to sing along but really struggle with the high notes.

Favourite Christmas film?

I don’t have a favourite film as such but I insist on watching Doctor Who on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, this year for the first time in 13 years it will not be shown on Christmas Day!!!! That’s Christmas ruined, thanks BBC! Bah Humbug!
