Wake up time?
About 7:00 – 7:30.
What do you have for breakfast?
Cereal or toast or nothing…depending on time.
First thing you do when you get into work?
Turn on my laptop and make a coffee and then check that I haven’t broken anything in my latest updates.
What project(s) are you working on?
My time is currently split between enhancements to our MDR (menus, dishes and recipe) and Laundry Control module. I‘m partway through recording the history of allergen changes for reporting, ready to alert users when suppliers make changes, giving the purchaser the option to choose whether to accept products based on the allergen data provided.
Silence, radio or Spotify in the background when you’re working?
Spotify all the way. I usually pick a genre at the beginning of the day, then end up falling down a music rabbit hole of related music.
Favourite work colleague?
Ha! I’m not answering that, there’s too much competition in the office already!
What’s the best bit about your job?
There’s always something new and interesting to develop.…and being able to change the colour of my desk light from my phone…obviously!
Packed lunch or take out for lunch?
Packed lunch if I’m feeling organised and have got out of bed on time, although my head will be easily turned if I’m staring at a tin of soup and the other guys are going out somewhere nice.
Favourite thing about working for Procure Wizard?
It has a nice, friendly atmosphere. The people I work with are great.
How would your workmates describe working with you?
Erm, I’m not sure I want to know the answer to that. Most likely that I’m a sure-fire way to make anyone else look good at playing ping pong in the office?
