Meet Kasey McGarry, our administrative assistant, who helps upload the products and prices from our suppliers onto the Procure Wizard System. Let’s find out more about her day
Wake up time?
Usually round about 7am but sometimes slightly later. Just depends if my dog is awake and ready for a walk. (She’s a lazy madam in the morning) It can also be really early though if my partner is leaving to go away for work.
What do you have for breakfast?
I don’t eat breakfast. A cup of tea, juice or water is enough for me first thing in the morning.
First thing you do when you get into work?
Say Hello to everyone and switch on my laptop and then if I’ve not had a cuppa that morning its straight to the kitchen to make tea and coffee for Holly and I and anyone else who says yes to the offer.
What project(s) are you working on?
I work mainly within the products team. I pick up the Suppliers requests to amend or create products and price lists. When I’m not working on Product Emails then I work through PAC (Products Awaiting Categorisation)
Silence, radio or Spotify in the background when you’re working?
A bit of everything really. I love music and it helps my concentration so I’m happy with the radio or Spotify. At the same time though the girls in the team are quite close and there’s a lot of banter that you don’t want to miss.
Favourite work colleague?
This is a really hard one…. Probably Holly, we both worked for the same supplier before coming to Procure Wizard so I know her a little better than everyone else. But then there’s Karen… she’s pretty awesome too!
What’s the best bit about your job?
Getting to use my product knowledge. Especially when it comes to working with Cheese, I know a lot about cheese!
Packed lunch or take out for lunch?
I’m not a big eater, if it gets to lunch time and I feel hungry I’ll pop round to Sainsburys. The Admin team are quite fond of sweet treats though and we have a box full of sweets, crisps and biscuits that we share out.
Favourite thing about working for PW?
Ah that has to be the team I work in! The girls are brilliant. We all have a good laugh and bounce off each other well. No matter how busy or stressed we all get, there’s always someone to make you laugh.
How would your work mates describe working with you?
Most likely they would tell you I’m a pain in the backside with all my nattering and singing
