A day in the life of Josh Baines

Our Customer Success Manager, Josh Baines, spends a lot of his days out on the road looking after clients. Let’s find out more about Josh…

Wake up time?

Normally as late as possible! Since starting with Procure Wizard, however, it’s always early, whether I am working from home or out on the road, it is never later than 7 am!! ☹

What do you have for breakfast?

I am currently trying to trim down for a wedding so an un-sweetened coffee and two Ryvita thins – exciting I know!!

First thing you do when you get into work?

It has to be making / ordering a coffee. No day is ever going to work out right without starting with coffee!

What project(s) are you working on?

I am working on all things laundry. I am the module specialist so exploring the dark art of laundry, working with suppliers to ensure that our module is as up-to-date as it can be with mirroring new innovations within the laundry world and developing Procure Wizard’s understanding of laundry as it changes with the times.

Silence, radio or Spotify in the background when you’re working?

Usually, either Talksport to keep up with all sports news or a Spotify playlist with all things country music. It’s easy listening in the background and its hard not to have a smile on your face when listening to country music as it is so upbeat.

Favourite work colleague?

Since joining the company I would say that all my colleagues, whether I speak to them daily or only once in a few weeks, have been ever so welcoming! If I must name one, I would say that I get on really well with Corrie and speak with him most days as he has supported me the most since I joined Procure Wizard.

What’s the best bit about your job?

Flexibility to do our work without being micromanaged. Our line managers are there to support and get the best outcome for the customer, so whatever we do is to get the best for the customer rather than ticking boxes, it’s all about our customers!

Packed lunch or take out for lunch?

Now that I am trying to trim down for a wedding, I am finding myself being more conscious of what I eat, so Ryvita is my best friend at the moment and I eat that mostly. I do love a fish finger sandwich, so have to succumb to those once in a while!

Favourite thing about working for Procure Wizard

Whatever the situation, there is always someone there to support and help you. You are never put into a position where you feel like you have to deal with anything on your own as someone usually has been there and done so they are happy to come and help.

How would your workmates describe working with you?

Hopefully with positive words! I’d like to think they wouldn’t have anything bad to say as I think I get on with most people, I’m relaxed and down to earth and would do anything I can to support those around me.
