A day in the Life of Javier Fernandez

Meet Javier Fernandez, one of our Operations Managers in Ireland. Let’s find out more about Javier …

Wake up time?

I’m usually up at 7.00am, but if I have to go somewhere for implementations, can be as early as 5am….

What do you have for breakfast?

Usually muesli and a coffee.

First thing you do when you get into work?

Turn on my PC, make a cup of tea and have a quick huddle/chat with my colleagues.  Then I have a quick look through my emails to see what has come through overnight and what I need to prioritise for the day.

What project(s) are you working on?

I’m currently working on a project for Connacht Hospitality, 3 hotels and 1 very busy Gastro Pub in Galway.

Silence, radio or Spotify in the background when you’re working?

Youtube, and Spotify def, hate silence I am noisy Spaniard.

Favourite work colleague?

That’s a hard one, but in the office has to be Thomas, only 2 boys in here, we have our chats about soccer and rugby.

What’s the best bit about your job

The best bit about my job is meeting different people every day, being able to fix any issues right on the spot and when a project is completed you have a sense of accomplishment.

Packed lunch or take out for lunch?

I’ll usually go to the shop to buy a sandwich and have a nice walk which clears my head. If I am on the road it is whatever the customer wants to treat me 😊

Favourite thing about working for PW?

Travelling and discovering new places, as well being able to see the benefit we can bring to our customers and their business.

How would your workmates describe working with you?

I would like to think they see me as a hardworking individual, extremely customer focused and very determined to make an impact on the organisation, as well as approachable.
